2 Corinthians 5:17 – We are new creatures in Christ.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
In Christ we are heirs of the Father, adopted into His family. In Christ we need to fully understand our position in that family. Scripture clearly attests to our metamorphosis from darkness into the light. Scripture clearly define how exactly we are a new creation.
Matthew 5:13-16 – We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
John 1:12 – We are children of God as part of the family of God
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
John 15:1-5 – We are branches of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:15 – We are friends of Jesus
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
Romans 3:24 – We have been justified and redeemed.
[We] are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…
Romans 6:6 – Our old selves were crucified with Christ, and we are no longer a slave to sin.
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
Romans 8:1 – We are no longer condemned by God
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:2 – We have been set free from the law of sin and death.
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:16-17 – As children of God, we are fellow heirs with Christ.
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 15:7 – We have been accepted by Christ.
Therefore, welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 1:2 – We have been called to be saints.
To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours.
1 Corinthians 1:30 – In Christ Jesus, we have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption…
1 Corinthians 6:19 – Our bodies are now a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own…
1 Corinthians 6:17 – We are joined to the Lord and are one spirit with Him.
But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
2 Corinthians 2:14 – God leads us in the triumph and knowledge of Christ.
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
2 Corinthians 3:14 – The hardening of our minds has been removed in Christ.
But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away.
2 Corinthians 5:21 – We have become the righteousness of God in Christ.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Galatians 3:28 – We have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 4:7 – We are no longer slaves, but children and heirs.
So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
Galatians 5:1 – We have been set free in Christ.
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Ephesians 1:3 – We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places…
Ephesians 1:4 – We are chosen, holy, and blameless before God.
Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love.
Ephesians 1:7 – We have been redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Christ.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace…
Ephesians 1:11 – We have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance.
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will…
Ephesians 1:13 – We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit…
Ephesians 2:4-5 – Because of God’s mercy and love, we have been made alive with Christ.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved…
Ephesians 2:4-7 – We will be seated in the heavenly places with Christ.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:10 – We are God’s workmanship created to produce good works.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:13 -We have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 3:6 – We are members of Christ’s body and partakers of His promise.
This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
Ephesians 3:12 – We have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Christ.
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
Ephesians 4:24 – Our new self is righteous and holy.
And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 5:8 – We were formerly in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord.
For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Philippians 3:20 – We are citizens of heaven.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ…
Philippians 4:7 – The peace of God guards our hearts and minds.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 – God supplies all our needs.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 2:10 – We have been made complete in Christ.
And you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
Colossians 3:1 – We have been raised up with Christ.
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:3 – Our lives have been hidden with Christ in God.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4 – Christ is our life, and we will be revealed with Him in glory.
When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:12 – We have been chosen of God, and we are holy and beloved.
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience…
1 Thessalonians 1:4 – God loves me and has chosen me.
For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you…
Hebrews 13:5 – He will never leave us or forsake us.
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
1 Peter 2:9 – We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
2 Peter 1:4 – We are partakers of the Divine Nature.
By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
1 John 4:4 – For the Holy Spirit within in us is greater than he who is in the world.
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Jeremiah 1:5 – He knew us when we were in the womb!!!
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.
